What is Happening?

On April 26th the Superintendent for AISD announced they were suspending any additional campus closures, for now. However, boundary change discussions resumed May 11th. 

What can you do?

Budget Cuts

What Happened?

On June 26, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved a $1.58 billion budget, including a $715.5 million payment to the state as part of recapture. The district will start the 2025-26 school year with a $19.7 million budget deficit.

What can you do?

Public school districts across the state are making severe budget cuts due to underfunding at the state level. While cuts have been finalized locally there is still action you can take at the state and national level to prevent further cuts in the future.
