I'm a proud parent of twin first graders and a senior at LASA. I'm excited to support Joslin PTA's fundraising efforts as Vice President this year. I truly believe in Joslin as a place where all students belong and grow with respect, perserverance, integrity, curiosity, courage, and responsibility. I have seen the values that Joslin instills in my own children and the joy they bring to learning each day. When not shuttling kids and teens around town, I am a Director at Texas Health and Human Services Commission in the Family Support Services Department. In my spare time, I enjoy dance, reading, and volunteering.

I am hoping that we have new and returning parents who want to support our school and join me in a fundraising subcommittee. Through grants, sponsorship, and in-kind and financial donations, we can make a real difference for our students!

As a parent of two Joslin students, I'm grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community. I chose to get involved with the PTA because volunteering is one way I can give back to a school that gives so much to my children. I'm honored to serve as Parliamentarian on the PTA Board as well as Webmaster on the PTA Communications Committee. In my professional life, I'm a PMP-certified Project Manager and Assistant Manager of Product Engineering, where I focus on helping teams solve complex problems and improve the way they work. I enjoy putting those skills to use for the PTA and supporting the work of our board. I look forward to getting to know more Joslin families and helping our school continue to thrive.

Hi! I'm looking forward to starting my third year at Joslin and to step into the role of Parent Room Coordinator this year. I will be helping connect our wonderful PTA and families while supporting the incredible work our teachers do every day.

A little about me: I have two daughters, one is in first grade and the other is in third grade. I am a former teacher having earned tenure in a small, Chicago, public school very similar to Joslin. I've also taught in AISD, so I understand the district from both a parent's and teacher's perspective.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions, ideas, or ways to get involved! I am excited to help our teachers, PTA, and community stay connected.

I'm a native Austinite and lifelong educator, so I'm proud to support the Joslin community and students through service on the PTA. As the volunteer coordinator, I'm excited to get parents and the greater Austin community more involved with our campus and events. My day job is advising undergraduate students at UT-Austin, so another goal is to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with our vibrant college campus. When I'm not in the office, you can find me hiking or running the trails, reading at a coffee shop, or watching college football.

The Teacher Liason: Per Texas PTA the Teacher liaison serves as a communication link between faculty, staff and PTA; and solicits staff input. Interested teachers should reach out to the Principal or joslinpta@gmail.com for appointment consideration.

This is my fifth year at Joslin and my fifth year serving as Communications Chair. I have two Jaguars in 1st and 4th grade, and I'm excited to continue helping keep our community informed, connected, and engaged. I believe that strong communication builds a stronger school community.

Our goal is to streamline communication across our school, Austin ISD, and the broader Joslin community. This is my third year on the Joslin PTA board, as I served a secretary for two years and now excited to follow Sabrina‘s path as president. I have children in third grade, first grade, and a preschooler. Professionally, I have been a social worker for almost 20 years and currently work as an outpatient mental health therapist. I have played tennis all my life, but recently taken up Pickleball, which provides some fun and competition. Otherwise, I love doing crafts, decorating our new house, or planning our next vacation. I feel strongly about supporting my kids’ education in public school and I’m excited about the opportunities at Joslin. This year, I look forward to working with other families and in the PTA to support our parents and children!

I’m Pamela Chen and the current Treasurer. This is my second year on the board but my 6th year as a member of the pta and Joslin community. I currently have 2 Joslin Jaguars. We’re proud to be members of this school community and working to make it as successful as possible.

Hello! I have lived with my husband in Western Trails for over a decade and always dreamed of walking our kiddo to school at Joslin one day. 2026 is our first year to do it, with our son in kindergarten. I work in real estate finance during the day and enjoy running and fitness. I’m excited to be able to contribute on the PTA to our wonderful neighborhood school.

Hi! This will be my family's 6th year at Joslin. I currently have a 4th grader and a Kindergarten student here. I previously have been PTA President and Vice President and am so proud of all the progress our team was able to make over the past 4 years. I am staying on this year to help with Hospitality- all of the fun stuff we do on campus! I would like to empower many parents to take ownership over individual events, rather than leave the planning of every event to just one or two people.
